Date Everything

Date Everything! is Sassy Chap Games’ dating sim about meeting the people hidden in ordinary household objects. After a disappointing turn at work, the protagonist receives magical Dateviator glasses that make furniture, appliances, and stranger concepts appear as fully voiced characters. The PC release favors conversation and exploration over reflexes, while Android players may consider the Windows game through Winlator on suitable hardware. Its premise is silly on purpose, but the relationships can end in love, friendship, or dislike, giving the choices more range than a one-joke romance game might suggest.

A House That Talks Back

The opening leaves your character at home with a new reason to look closely at everything in it. Put on the glasses and a chair is no longer just a chair; it has a personality, history, and opinion about your attention. The house becomes a map of potential conversations rather than a backdrop. Some characters are obvious, while others need clues or a change in perspective before they can be found. The central mystery of who sent the glasses gives the exploration a direction without drowning out the smaller personal stories.

The cast is enormous, so there is no single romance that defines the plot. A conversation with a microwave can be a joke, while a different encounter may turn unexpectedly vulnerable. The protagonist’s own situation develops as relationships change and the outside world presses in. Not every character gets equal depth, and completionists may find the number of possible routes intimidating. Still, the game earns its title by treating the objects as individuals rather than a list of punchlines. The strongest stories make you return to a room just to hear what someone says next.

Conversations, Clues, and S.P.E.C.S.

Play revolves around searching the house, choosing dialogue, and deciding whom to speak to during each in-game day. The Dateviators reveal possible partners, while clues help locate characters that are not immediately visible. Relationship outcomes can be romantic, friendly, or hostile. Those outcomes feed the S.P.E.C.S. attribute system, opening more dialogue choices and encouraging another look at earlier encounters. The daily interaction limit provides a little structure, preventing you from exhausting every story in one long sweep.

The result is closer to a visual novel with a navigable home than a conventional dating game menu. Full voice work carries much of the humor, and character designs make mundane objects instantly recognizable after their introduction. The trade-off is pacing: repeated movement between rooms and long conversations can make a session feel slow when you are hunting one specific route. Players who enjoy reading and listening will find plenty to follow. Those expecting quick minigames or a single tightly plotted romance may struggle with the game’s breadth.

When a Joke Becomes a Character

The first surprise is laughing at the premise; the second is remembering a character’s problem after you take off the glasses. Date Everything! works best when you let conversations take unexpected turns instead of trying to optimize every relationship. On PC, a mouse makes searching the room convenient and the text easy to read. Through Winlator on Android, touch input could suit much of the dialogue, but small text and translation overhead may still affect comfort. A larger phone or controller can help with navigation. The game is welcoming to short sessions, although its huge cast encourages notes if you want to keep every thread straight.

Date Everything! PC and Winlator Requirements

Platform Level CPU / Chipset GPU RAM OS / Environment
PC Minimum Core i5-2500 / AMD FX-4350 GeForce GTX 660 2 GB / Radeon R9 270 2 GB 8 GB Windows 10 64-bit
PC Recommended Core i5-6600 / Ryzen 5 1600X GeForce GTX 1650 4 GB / Radeon RX 570 4 GB 8 GB Windows 10 64-bit
Android / Winlator Suggested minimum Snapdragon 865 / MediaTek Dimensity 1200 Adreno 650 / Mali-G77 8 GB Android 11+ / compatible Winlator build
Android / Winlator Suggested recommended Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 / MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Adreno 740 / Immortalis-G715 12 GB Android 13+ / compatible Winlator build

The publisher describes the PC minimum as 1080p low at 30 FPS and the recommended tier as 1080p high at 60 FPS. Android rows are estimates for the Windows build, not official support. On Winlator, a Snapdragon 865-class phone might aim for 20–35 FPS at 720p low, while an 8 Gen 2-class device may approach 30–60 FPS in simpler rooms. These are planning ranges rather than measured results for this download; text rendering and video playback may create issues unrelated to GPU speed. Lower resolution and shadow quality first if moving through the house stutters. Smooth scrolling matters less here than clear, readable dialogue.

Final Verdict

Date Everything! turns a broad joke into a surprisingly varied collection of conversations. Its best characters make the house feel less like a menu of romances and more like a crowded place you slowly understand. The large cast can also make progress feel scattered, especially for completionists. PC offers the clearest text and easiest navigation. Winlator may let Android players try the Windows edition, provided they value readability over portable novelty. Come for the odd premise, then stay to see which relationships become more complicated than their first punchline.
